What does “rizq min haythu la yahtasib” mean in Arabic?
The phrase الرزق من حيث لا يحتسب (“provision from where one does not expect it”) comes directly from Surah At-Talaq in the Quran (65:3). In everyday Arabic, rizq covers any kind of livelihood: salary, food on the table, a sudden gift, a job offer. The Quranic line says God’s provision can arrive from sources you never planned for. It has become one of the most-quoted lines across Arabic motivational and religious content.
This Saudi clip leans on the phrase to discuss the tension between budgeting (the speaker uses the English borrowing البتدجتينج) and divine providence. The mix is itself classically Saudi: Quranic Arabic stacked with Anglicized financial vocabulary.
