Visitando uma casa que é um verdadeiro lixão

What does “lixão” mean in Brazilian Portuguese?
Lixão literally means “big dump” or “landfill,” from lixo (“trash”) plus the -ão ending that makes things bigger. In Brazilian Portuguese, friends use lixão as harsh roast slang for a chaotic, very messy house. It hits harder than bagunça (“mess”) or zona (“disaster zone”) because lixão drags in the imagery of municipal rubbish pits.
In this clip, the speaker walks into a friend’s house and delivers the roast: “essa casa é lixão”. The -ão ending is a signature Brazilian-Portuguese tool: amigo → amigão (“big friend”), casa → casão (“big house”), lixo → lixão (“big dump”). It blows nouns up in size, intensity, and sometimes affection.
