What does “resaca” mean in Spanish?
A man lists his week and ends with “Los domingos estoy de resaca” — Sundays he is hungover, his body still paying for a big Saturday night. “Resaca” is the normal Spanish word for that heavy, tired, headachy feeling after drinking. He says “estoy de resaca” rather than naming an illness: he is describing how he feels right now, a passing state, not something permanent about him.
