What does “mujeriego” mean in Spanish?

mujeriego
Spanish character word
A womaniser, a player — a man who chases many women; he va de cama en cama (“goes from bed to bed”).

Mujeriego is the standard Spanish word for a womaniser or player: a man fond of pursuing many women, English’s “ladies' man” with a faintly disapproving edge. Telenovela fuel. The vivid idiom that pairs with it is ir de cama en cama — “to go from bed to bed” — the blunt way to say someone sleeps around, no euphemism required.

Built from mujer (woman) plus the -iego suffix marking inclination (compare mujeriego with callejero, fond of the street). Near-synonyms run from neutral-ironic don Juan and casanova to the more colloquial picaflor (“flower-pecker,” a flitting flirt) and Mexico’s perro. Note it’s almost always applied to men; the asymmetry is baked into the culture the word comes from.
