What does “skitläskigt” mean in Swedish?
Swedes stick skit- (“shit”) onto almost any adjective to mean “really”: skitbra (really good), skitkul (so fun), skitläskigt (really scary). It sounds rude, but in everyday talk it is closer to “damn” or “super.” A contestant on Love Is Blind Sverige sums up the feeling: falling for someone you have never even seen is, well, skitläskigt.
The base word läskig means “scary” or “creepy.” Add skit- in front and you get skitläskigt = really scary.
